The application correction window for  the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 has been started by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR). With this, the candidates can now make the required changes in their applications at the official website – gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

The correction window will stay open until November 6, 2024. As per official guidelines, applicants may make up to 14 modifications to their application, with each change incurring a separate fee.

No refunds will be issued, except in cases of multiple transactions.

The last date to fill the GATE 2025 application form was October 3. The deadline to submit the online application form with a late fee was October 7. For late submission of the online application form, the registration fee increased to Rs 1400 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and Rs 2300 for all other candidates.

GATE Application correction fee

Here is the fee structure for application modifications:

  1. Change in Name – Rs 500
  2. Change in Date of Birth – Rs 500
  3. Change in Choice of Examination Cities – Rs 500
  4. Change of Existing Paper – Rs 500
  5. Add a Second Paper (from specified combinations with respect to the primary paper) – Rs 500 + application fee for the additional paper
  6. Change of Gender to Female – Rs 500
  7. Change of Gender from Female to Any Other – Rs 1,400 (Rs 500 + Rs 900 for all other candidates)
  8. Change of Category to SC/ST – Rs 500
  9. Change of Category from SC/ST to Any Other –
    • Rs 500 (for female or PwD candidates)
    • Rs 1,400 (Rs 500 + Rs 900 for all other candidates)
  10. Change from Non-PwD/Dyslexic to PwD/Dyslexic – Rs 500
  11. Change from PwD/Dyslexic to Non-PwD/Dyslexic –
    • Rs 500 (for female or PwD candidates)
    • Rs 1,400 (Rs 500 + Rs 900 for all other candidates)
  12. Any Other Category Change (not mentioned above) – Rs 500
  13. Changes in Details of Parents/Guardian/Correspondence Address – No Fee
  14. Changes in College Name and Location, Roll Number, or Registration Number – No Fee

GATE 2025: Admit card

The GATE 2025 admit card is expected to be released in January, with the exam scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

GATE 2025 is being organised by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and will be conducted in computer-based testing (CBT) mode in February 2025. Mock test links are provided to help GATE 2025 candidates become familiar with the format and interface of the computer-based test.
