The University of Delhi has published the academic calendar for first-year undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year. Classes for the first semester will commence from August 29. Theory exams for these students are scheduled to begin on January 6, following which a winter break will be observed from January 25 to January 26.
Students can access the complete academic schedule on the official website – admission.uod.ac.in. The second semester for DU students will start on Monday, January 27, with a mid-semester break from March 9 to March 16. The end-of-term theory exam for the second semester is slated to start on June 7.
After completing their first year, students will enjoy a summer break from June 29 to July 20, 2025. This year, the University is admitting students to 79 programs across 69 colleges. The counseling process has already begun, with the second phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG process starting on August 1.
The CSAS UG counseling comprises three phases: Phase I involves applying to Delhi University, Phase II requires candidates to select their preferred programs and colleges, and Phase III is the allocation or admission round. The primary criteria for seat allocation are the scores from the CUET UG exam 2024, along with candidates’ board marks to fill any vacant seats.
