The notification for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 is expected to be released soon. Based on previous years’ dates, the CAT 2024 notification is likely to be announced in July along with the syllabus, exam pattern and admission process details, with registration starting shortly after.
Last year, IIM Lucknow conducted the CAT, and this year, reports suggest that IIM Calcutta will be responsible for the exam. The CAT 2024 is anticipated to take place on the last Sunday of November. Historically, the official CAT website goes live in July.
CAT is an entrance exam for admission to postgraduate management and doctoral programs at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Additionally, scores from CAT 2024 can be used by approved non-IIM member institutions.
In 2023, CAT registration began on August 2 and ended on September 20. The admit card was issued on November 7, and the exam was held on November 26.
Eligibility criteria from last year required candidates to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates). Final-year bachelor’s degree students or those awaiting results could also apply.
