The AP Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) is hosted annually by Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
Following the announcement of results, authorities will conduct counseling sessions for the qualified candidates. Based on these sessions, candidates will be allotted seats in engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy programs in colleges across the state.
The normalisation process, implemented by APSCHE last year, aims to address any disparities in the difficulty levels across multiple exam sessions. It ensures that no student is unfairly advantaged or disadvantaged due to the variations in difficulty. With exams conducted in multiple sessions but based on the same syllabus and pattern for candidates with similar eligibility criteria, some students may perceive differences in question paper difficulty levels.
Through normalization, marks from easier sessions may be slightly reduced while marks from harder sessions may be slightly increased on a global scale. This ensures fairness and consistency in evaluating students' performances across all sessions.
