Tata Group denies Ratan Tata comments on JNU protest at a Make In India session

JNU protest: Amid a raging controversy over events at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Tata Group has denied Ratan Tata comments after he was caught in social media crossfire and had to officially deny reactions attributed to him in various tweets.

The Group’s reaction was in response to some tweets claiming that its Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata told a Make In India session in Mumbai that Tata Group will not hire any student from JNU.

“Mr Tata has not issued any such statement,” Tata Group said in its official Twitter handle late in the evening today.

A political slugfest has erupted over the arrest of JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar on charges of sedition amid allegations that some students shouted anti-India slogans.
