Asma Maryam, a 23-year-old law student from Hyderabad, has been selected to present her research paper at the Chicago-Harvard-Wharton Insolvency & Restructuring Conference in the United States. The news was shared by AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on his social media account, where he extended his congratulations.

Adding to the greetings, Owaisi wrote on X, “Asma is currently pursuing her LL.M. at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). At just 23 years of age, Asma’s achievements reflect her academic excellence and dedication to impactful legal research.”

Who is Asma Maryam?

According to Maryam’s LinkedIn profile, she began a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2024. To pursue her LLM from LSE, Maryam dropped out of her LLM at the National Academy of Legal Studies & Research (NALSAR). 

She completed her undergraduate BA LLB from Pune’s Symbiosis International University, where she was ranked second in her class. Prior to university, she completed her schooling from MS Junior College Malakpet from 2017 to 2019. Moreover, she also enrolled in a Certificate Program in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with upGrad in 2022.

Other achievements of Asma Maryam

Asma has obtained several key certifications from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in early 2025, including the Foundational Practice Skills Programme (issued in March), Fintech and Digital Finance (issued in January) and The Practice of International Arbitration (also issued in January). In addition to her LSE certifications, she has received the Lexis+ UK Legal Research Advanced Certification (England & Wales) from LexisNexis UK in February 2025.
