The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy showers in southern states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Puducherry, and Karaikal. From today onwards, the intensity of the rainfall in Mahe, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu might decrease. The IMD has also notified that temperatures will likely decline across North and East India by 2-3 degrees Celsius from 3 November to 7 November.

Rainfall Forecast for Southern India

From 2 November to 3 November, an average rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms is expected in multiple areas of Karnataka, Kerala, Karaikal, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu. The Met Department has also warned that there may be isolated heavy downpours in Puducherry, Karaikal, and Tamil Nadu from 2 November to 3 November.

Weather prediction for Delhi-NCR

The Delhi/NCR region is anticipated to have a clear sky along with calm wind, smog, or mist in the morning. Winds from the Northeast region during the noon may pick up between 8 to 12 kmph but it is likely to slow down by evening. Smog and misty conditions are likely to prevail during the night.

Delhi AQI Update and November to be warmer

India has recorded one of the hottest months ever since 1901 as the average temperatures were 1.23 degrees Celsius above normal. November is also predicted to remain hotter as there are no signs of cooler winter conditions for the coming days.
