Delhi is voting today in the sixth and penultimate phase of Lok Sabha polls for all seven parliamentary seats. With this, the security in the city has been beefed up and several restrictions have been put in place in order to ensure a smooth voting process.

What’s open?
Essential Services: Essential services such as hospitals, pharmacies, and public transportation will see no hindrance and maintain smooth operation, guaranteeing uninterrupted access to healthcare and mobility.
Metro: The DMRC has earlier announced that its services will commence at 4 am day on all Lines. “On the day of the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi on 25th May, Delhi Metro train services on all lines will start at 4 a.m. so that the staff deployed for election duty can avail the facility. The trains will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the lines until 6 a.m,” it had tweeted earlier.
Buses: Previously, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) stated that extra bus services would commence on May 25 at 4 am along 35 routes. Additionally, Delhi Integrated Multi-Model Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS) will operate bus services on 46 routes.
Restaurants & Malls: Today, retail outlets, restaurants, and malls will adhere to their usual operating hours, NDTV reported.
What’s closed?
Schools: The schools in Delhi have been shut down amid the prevailing heatwave conditions in the city. The Delhi government instructed all private schools to initiate summer vacations without delay.
Banks: Today marks the fourth Saturday of the month and with that the banks will remain shut.
Liquor shops: Following the directives from the Election Commission of India, all liquor stores and licensed premises in Delhi, as well as the neighboring cities of Faridabad and Gurugram, will be closed till 6 pm today.
