Prime Minister Narendra Modi in on a one-day visit to Uttarakhand and offered prayers at Parvati Kund in Pithoragarh on Thursday morning.
PM Modi also sought blessings from the holy Adi Kailash at this place. He then visited Gunji village in Pithoragarh district, where he interacted with locals and visited an exhibition highlighting local art and products.
The prime minister also interacted with personnel of Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

During the day, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stones of several development projects during his one-day visit to the state. With this, the prime minister is also scheduled to address a public meeting in Pithoragarh.
Cultural troupes from the Kumaon region welcomed PM Modi at several points of a renovated 6-km road decorated with murals and paintings as he travelled from the Naini Saini airport to a public meeting venue on Thursday.
