Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on an official visit to France and the United States, was reportedly the target of a terrorist threat. Mumbai Police received an call on February 11, warning of a potential attack on the Prime Minister’s aircraft. According to ANI, the call was made to the Police Control Room, claiming that terrorists might attack as PM Modi was leaving for his overseas visit.

Upon receiving the information, Mumbai Police immediately informed the relevant security agencies and launched an investigation to assess the threat before the Prime Minister’s departure. Given the serious nature of the warning, authorities acted quickly to coordinate with the Special Protection Group (SPG) and other security agencies to ensure that all necessary precautions were in place.

Mumbai Police confirmed the incident in a statement, stating, “Considering the serious nature of the information, the Police informed other agencies and began an investigation.”

Later, police informed that the person who made the threat call to the Mumbai Police Control Room has been taken into custody from the Chembur area of the city. “He is mentally ill,” the Mumbai Police added.
