Tamil Nadu: Income Tax raids in Chennai target TNEB contractors and suppliers

Income Tax Department searches are underway at the residences of contractors and suppliers associated with the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) at various locations in Chennai.

The Income Tax Department conducted raids in Chennai on Wednesday at several locations related to contractors and suppliers of TNEB and TANGEDCO.

Sources indicate that many TNEB and TANGEDCO officials are currently under scrutiny.
