List of Special Guests on Republic Day Parade 2025: India will celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, marking the historic adoption of the Constitution in 1950. This year, the celebrations promise grandeur, with the theme “Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas”. The theme will reflect on the nation’s rich cultural legacy and developmental strides.
Who is the Chief Guest this year?
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will attend the occasion as the chief guest. Briefing the media, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said that a 160-member marching contingent and 190-member band contingent from Indonesia will take part in the Parade at Kartavya Path along with the contingents of Indian Armed Forces.

Parade at Kartavya Path
The Republic Day Parade, commencing at Kartavya Path, will showcase the diversity and strength of the nation with 31 vibrant tableaux representing various states, Union Territories and ministries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin the ceremony by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial, followed by the ceremonial salute received by the President of India.
A dazzling flypast by 47 aircraft will conclude the event, with balloons carrying the emblem of the Constitution’s 75th year released into the sky as a tribute to this milestone.
