“I am not that actor,” Malayalam actor Dileep lashed out at sections of the media, following reports that a young actor-director from Aluva has been questioned by the police in connection with the Malayalam actress molestation case. According to Manorama News, the angry actor stated categorically that no one from the police has approached him or visited him in connection with the Malayalam actress molestation case. A visibly angry Dileep also demanded that the police should name the actor they had questioned and the media should then report it correctly instead of speculating and tossing up incorrect names.
A disturbing trend related to the Malayalam actress molestation case has been that it tossed up the names of prominent individuals in the film industry and many names have been circulated on social media. Several names have been spreading like wild fire and are being circulated on WhatsApp groups as well.
