Kannauj Railway Station: An under-construction building at Kannauj railway station collapsed on Saturday afternoon, trapping approximately two dozen workers beneath the debris, a senior official reported.
Police sources confirmed that six workers have been rescued and transported to the hospital for treatment.
District Magistrate Shubhrant Kumar Shukla, who arrived at the site with senior officials to supervise the rescue operation, stated that the incident occurred due to the collapse of the under-construction roof shuttering.
“Our first priority is to rescue the workers who are trapped. We are using all resources at our disposal for the rescue efforts,” he said.
