The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an isolated heavy rainfall alert for multiple parts across the country including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry and Karaikal,  Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is also likely to occur at some places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 7 days. 

A look at weather conditions across several states:- 

  • Delhi: The sky will remain mainly clear in the national capital on Sunday with a shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 30 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively. On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures registered at 30.9 and 16.2 degree Celsius respectively.
  • Himachal Pradesh: A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from the night of November 7. The dry weather is likely to prevail in the state. In the past 24 hours, the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong at 2.3 degree Celsius and the highest temperature was at Una i.e. 32 degree Celsius.
  • Jammu and Kashmir: Today, the dry weather is likely to prevail over the Union Territory (UT). Meanwhile, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the UT from the night of 07th November, 2023.
  • Uttar Pradesh: The dry weather will prevail over the state on Sunday. The temperature is very likely to gradually fall by 2 degree Celsius during the next 3 to 4 days. 
  • West Bengal, Sikkim: The sky will remain partly cloudy in Kolkata. The maximum and minimum temperatures are most likely to be around 32 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively. Meanwhile, rain or snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places over Sikkim. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal. Dry weather most likely over the rest districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

The air quality across Delhi continues to be in the ‘Severe’ category as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on Sunday. AQI in Aya Nagar at 464, in Dwarka Sector-8 at 486, in Jahangirpuri at 463 and around IGI Airport (T3) 480.
