This year, one of Europe’s leading wellbeing and medical health resort, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, is celebrating the 175th anniversary of piping the natural healing waters from Switzerland’s famous Tamina Gorge directly to the resort. To celebrate this milestone occasion, Bad Ragaz has created a Blue Gold package which includes a new, invigorating thermal water massage based around the healing powers of this warm water.
First discovered by Benedictine monks in 1242, people in the mountain town of Bad Ragaz and further afield have harnessed the naturally warm water of the Tamina Gorge for centuries. The first pipeline of clean fresh spring water, directly running from the Tamina Gorge to Grand Resort Bad Ragaz originated on the May 31, 1840, and 175 years later still provides guests and locals alike with unrivalled access to pure, fresh mountain spring water.
Designed to honour the resort’s unique relationship to the Tamina Gorge, guests can experience a radical new Thermal Water Massage treatment as part of this new package, which has been carefully created by the forward thinking spa therapists at Bad Ragaz.
The Tamina Gorge fresh water can be enjoyed in the resort’s luxurious 36.5° Wellbeing & Thermal Spa area, as well as the publicly accessible thermal spa, the Tamina Therme. Guests staying in the exclusive Spa Suites can even benefit from having thermal water pumped directly through every tap in their bathroom, sauna and steam room.
