As the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections will conclude with polling on 57 parliamentary seats across seven states and the Union territory of Chandigarh on Saturday, all eyes will be on exit polls that will predict which alliance will form the country’s next government.
The exit poll results will be rolled out right after the voting for the seventh phase ends at 6 pm today.
The exit poll predictions will set the tone for whether the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) or the Congress-led opposition INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) bloc is most likely to form the next government.
The election process started on April 19, which was the first phase. The next phase was on April 26. The following phases took place on May 7, May 13, May 20, and May 26; the last phase is set for today, June 1.
Meanwhile, the Congress on Friday said that its leaders will not participate in debates related to Lok Sabha exit polls on June 4.
In a post on X, Congress leader Pawan Khera said, “Voters have cast their votes and their verdict has been secured. The results will be out on 4th June. Prior to that, we do not see any reason to indulge in speculation and slugfest for TRP.”
