Several exit polls released Wednesday gave a clear advantage to the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, while some forecasted a potential win for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition.

The exit polls, published shortly after polling ended at 6 PM, predicted a victory for the BJP-led Mahayuti government in the state. With 145 seats required for a majority in the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly, the current government is a coalition of the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit Pawar).

The Matrize exit poll, conducted in collaboration with multiple news organisations, predicted 150-170 seats for the BJP alliance, with a 48% vote share. In contrast, the Congress-led MVA was projected to secure 110-130 seats and a 42% vote share, while others were expected to win 8-10 seats, with a 10% vote share.
