As the Mahayuti alliance secures a decisive victory in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attributed the win to the unity of the coalition and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Posting on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Fadnavis celebrated the Mahayuti alliance’s performance, calling it a testament to unity and strong governance. He wrote: “Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai. Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai.”
The Deputy Chief Minister, who is contesting from the Nagpur South West constituency, is leading by a margin of 24,230 votes after ten rounds of counting, according to the Election Commission of India.
The Mahayuti alliance, comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction, and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is leading in more than 210 of the 288 assembly constituencies in Maharashtra. This landslide victory is seen as a reaffirmation of the alliance’s political strategy and governance model in the state. Fadnavis credited the victory to the effective leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose slogan “Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai” became a central theme during the election campaign. Modi’s emphasis on the importance of unity within the coalition was highlighted in almost all his speeches, resonating strongly with voters across the state.

With the victory, the Mahayuti alliance is poised to retain power in Maharashtra, ensuring the continuation of its development agenda. Fadnavis’s statement underscores the alliance’s focus on unity as the key to political and administrative stability in the state.
