The Enforcement Directorate (ED) early on Tuesday morning conducted raids at the residence and offices of Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh in connection with the alleged liquor scam in Delhi and Punjab.
Singh, who belongs to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), owns real estate company Janta Land Promoters Limited (JLPL). He won the 2022 elections by defeating former Cabinet minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu.

The raids came a day after Delhi Chief Minister and party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy ‘scam’.
“ED has raided AAP MLA Kulwant Singh in connection with Liquor scam of Delhi and Punjab. After summoning Delhi CM and AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal, now ED has started working on Punjab link of this liquor scam. This exercise is necessary to expose Rs 550 crore corruption done in Punjab Excise scam in which CM Bhagwant Mann, Harpal Cheema, are main culprits and main beneficiary is Aam Admi Party,” Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia said on X, formerly Twitter.
