The Delhi Police have registered a case involving the alleged assault and heckling of a Times Now reporter inside the Aam Aadmi Party’s office in central Delhi’s IP Estate on Monday afternoon, officials said.
The female reporter claimed that she faced verbal abuse and physical assault, while her cameraperson was attacked, upon attempting to enter the AAP office for an interview.
“AAP workers snatched the cable of the camera the photographer was carrying, broke it, and assaulted him on the head,” the reporter further alleged.

As per a senior police official, an FIR has been lodged against multiple unidentified individuals under pertinent IPC sections related to offences such as voluntarily causing hurt, criminal intimidation, and common intention, among others, The Indian Express reported.
Subsequent to the incident, the reporter reported the matter to the police control room (PCR) and provided details. Following this, both the reporter and the cameraperson underwent a medico-legal examination, after which a case was filed.
