The job: I love every bit of my job ? because it?s never the same, and is as far from routine as it can get. A media marketing (news specifically) job allows you to wear different hats and to marry distinct perspectives all the time. For example, an average day will entail one to think from a journalist?s point of view, from a viewer?s point of view, a media planner?s, a creative agency?s, a music scheduler?s, a radio jockey?s and so on. Both news and radio happen to be most dynamic in nature even within the media space and this chase to create a strong brand impression every single minute is what excites me the most.

The weekdays: The workday begins usually at 9 but Wednesdays start early at about 5 AM as the TRP (television ratings points) data for the TV channels come in. One really looks forward to studying the consumer response to various news stories of the week. To spot trends in the vastly heterogeneous Indian consumer market is a delight in itself. Besides the regular, a few upcoming campaigns keep the creative juices flowing. Also, tie-ups are a very promising space in media, it keeps the exploratory streak alive through the year.

The weekend: Weekends are family time and for catching up on sleep, books and dumbbells –recently married, this is by order of priority. We do plan occasional weekend getaways visiting lesser known forts, temples, and local eating joints.

The toys:I must confess that I am a BlackBerry addict.

The logos: My favourites are Tissot, Armani, Nike, Levi?s and FCUK.
