Make calls to other Skype users or even regular telephone numbers, even as you watch your favourite shows
If you are looking for a television that helps you connect to your dear ones and also entertains at the same time?this is a perfect choice. This television helps you make free video calls over the internet. All you need is a compact microphone/camera to make free Skype-to-Skype calls and low-cost SkypeOut calls to regular telephone numbers.
In the Sony BRAVIA 55HX925, we get to see a much improved smart TV system. It?s a 55-inch 3D LED backlit LCD TV having a native resolution of 1080p. Even the looks are no less. The new Sony 55HX925 appears slimmer than any of its competitor and easily has the most stunning display around with 3.5 cm of width. The left bottom has a power indicator and there are a few sensors that include a small camera, embedded within the frame. It comes with a camera for use with Skype. One demerit is the display when turned off, because the glossy screen reflects and can be irritating, although its Corning Gorilla Glass coating provides extra protection, thus ensuring that you would not ever see it scratched.
The controls are intelligently placed on the back, since nobody uses the physical buttons anymore. The back panel also has plenty of connectivity options, such as four HDMI inputs, two rows of connectors, along with D-Sub to connect older PCs. Also, there is no component or composite connection on the TV itself.
This BRAVIA uses hi-tech Motionflow XR 800 feature to make the picture more smoother and sharper. This includes 4-times speed play which inserts three additional frames between the images, making the video play more distinctive. Moreover, the television?s unique ?Intelligent Peak LED? feature gives you deepest black and flawless white. The multi-segmented arrangement in BRAVIA?s LED backlight gives it ability to produce finest colour contrast.
This is one of the few TVs that supports local LED dimming feature, which tends to dim backlit LEDs according to the scene when activated. Bravia Internet Video connects you to a host of streaming video services including Dailymotion, Hungama, Star Player, among others.
Presence of large vents on the back allows ventilation and helps in keeping it cool. It costs 60k more than LG Cinema 3D TV, but the 3D effect, especially with increased depth is the best in the current lot. The only issue is the 3D glasses, which cost around 7k and discharge frequently. HD video quality is impressive with hardly any blurring in fast-paced action scenes, indicating the presence of a good filtering engine. Last but not the least is the stand, which is very thin and appears fragile.
