Ram Mandir Inauguration 2024: Preparations are underway for the grand ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh’s temple city Ayodhya. Latest reports say that several hundred thousand diginatries from various walks of life have been invited for the January 22 event. The idol of ‘Ram Lalla’ will be consecrated at the Ayodhya temple on January 22, 2024. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has come up with a guest list for the ceremony. Some reports say that as many as 8,000 prominent personalities have been invited.

The Trust has sent out invitations to nearly 3,000 VVIPs and 5,000 seers for the Ram Mandir grand opening ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra will be the chief guest of the event. The chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Mohan Bhagwat, is expected to share the stage with the prime minister.

The guest list is likely to include industrialists, actors and journalists. As per media reports, industrialists Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata have been invited for the Ayodhya ceremony. Popular actors and sports gems like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are likely to be invited to the ceremony.

Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhalia Topiwala, popular actors who played the role of Lord Ram and Mata Sita in Doordarshan’s iconic TV series Ramayana, are most likely to be invited as well.

As per the general secretary of the Trust, Champat Rai, it is planning to invite one representative each from 50 foreign countries. He mentioned that the Trust plans to extend invitations to families of kar sevaks who sacrificed their lives during the Ram Mandir movement. Additionally, scientists, judges, writers, and poets are also receiving invitations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already announced the consecration dates in 2023 Dussehra speech saying, “much-awaited moment is about to arrive,” adding, “Ram Lalla virajmaan hone hi wale hain.”

An official invitation link will be shared with guests ahead of the ceremony, as per the Trust’s announcement.

Upon registration using the provided link, a bar code will be generated, serving as the entry pass, according to Anil Mishra, a member of the Trust.

The invitation letter states, “You are informed that the construction of the temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi has been underway after a prolonged struggle. On Paush Shukla Dwadashi – Vikram Samvat 2080, Monday, January 22, 2024, the consecration of the new idol of Ramlala will take place in the sanctum sanctorum. We earnestly invite you to be present in Ayodhya on this auspicious occasion to witness the consecration and contribute to the significance of this momentous historical day.”
