Delhi Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy Extended
To address the pressing issue of deteriorating air quality, the Delhi government has extended the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy until March 31, 2025.
- Restoration of Benefits:
Subsidies and road tax exemptions for electric vehicles purchased starting January 1, 2024, will be reinstated. These had been put on hold due to political developments, including the incarceration of former CM Arvind Kejriwal. - Environmental Goals:
CM Atishi emphasised the urgent need to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles to mitigate pollution levels and promote sustainable urban mobility.
Financial Relief for DSFDC Employees
The cabinet has approved a grant of Rs 17 crore to the Delhi Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation Limited (DSFDC).

The grant will be utilised to clear the backlog of pending salaries for DSFDC employees, reflecting the government’s commitment to ensuring employee well-being.
Introduction of Optometry Bachelor’s Program
The Delhi government announced the launch of a four-year bachelor’s program in optometry at a newly established wing of the Guru Nanak Eye Centre.
