The Amarnath Yatra, an annual pilgrimage in Jammu and Kashmir was halted on Tuesday because of unfavourable weather on both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes. The decision to temporarily withhold the pilgrimage was taken because of heavy rainfall.
Pilgrims praise security services
A pilgrim who hails from Bihar while talking to ANI, said that he remains positive that the yatra will resume soon. ”We are aware that the yatra has been deferred, but there are chances that it may get restarted soon. We are determined to complete our pilgrimage,” he added. He further applauded the security forces for their constant support and cooperation. The treatment they are receiving from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the local police is exceptional, as they mentioned to ANI.
