A 5.1-magnitude earthquake shook Kolkata on Tuesday morning, causing tremors across the city. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the quake’s epicenter was in the Bay of Bengal at a depth of 91 kilometers. The tremor was recorded at 6:10 AM IST, with coordinates 19.52°N latitude and 88.55°E longitude.

Residents in parts of Kolkata and nearby areas reported mild shaking, though no immediate reports of damage or casualties emerged.
