Financial Express Online on Tuesday organised the second edition of the FE Healthcare Awards 2024. The second panel focused on ‘Indian healthcare – Catalyzing the next wave of growth’.
The session included experts like Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Founder and Director of Origyn Fertility & IVF, Prof. Anupam Sibal, Group Medical Director, Apollo Hospitals Group and Anant Kharad, Vice President, TH Healthcare & Life Sciences.
The panel discussion was moderated by Roshun Povaiah, Editor, Financial Express – Digital.
Dr. Sibal said that there is need to leverage technology at a faster pace in the healthcare industry. “Post covid things have changed…tele-medicine is a game-changer and there is a huge potential,” he said.
During the session, Dr. Sharma highlighted that a lot needs to be done to bridge the gap between rural and urban India.
Dr. Sibal highlighted that in the recent years the medical seats have increased. “There is a huge potential for us to provide the workforce to the world,” he said.
He also said that India is going to be the preferred destination for healthcare facilities.
During the session, Kharad pointed out that there is still a lot needs to be done to digitise the healthcare sector and it will be a game-changer.
Dr. Sharma revealed that there is a lot that needs to be done to improve access to women’ healthcare facilities.
