The Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is moving at a fast pace and Gujarat is witnessing a massive infrastructure development. Eight stations – Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora and Vapi – have completed structural work. Now, finishing work like interiors, roofing and passenger facilities are being done.

Stations Designed for Comfort and Identity

Once done, these will not be just boarding points but symbols of world class travel, comfort and convenience. Each station is designed to reflect the cultural identity of the city, blending modernity with tradition.

From soothing interiors and beautiful exteriors to airy spaces and natural light, the focus is on creating a calm and pleasant travel experience for the passengers.

Focus on Sustainability and Green Design

Sustainability is the core of the project. Solar panels are being installed to generate clean energy, skylights and wide openings to reduce dependency on artificial lighting. Platform areas will have ample natural light and ventilation.

Across the premises, greenery is being introduced through plants and saplings. Rainwater harvesting with groundwater recharging wells, sewage treatment plants for recycling water and eco friendly materials like paints, panels and tiles are being used. This will make the stations environment friendly.

Passenger Friendly Features for Seamless Travel

To make travel smooth, stations are equipped with multiple lifts and escalators for all age groups including senior citizens and differently abled. Clear signages, information kiosks and public announcement systems will help passengers to navigate through concourse, platforms and exits.

Spacious waiting areas, business class lounges, nurseries, childcare spaces, food kiosks and retail counters will further add to the convenience.

Multimodal Hubs for Faster Connections

Major stations at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Sabarmati and Surat are being developed as multimodal transport hubs integrating bullet trains with Indian Railways, metro, buses, taxis and autos. Parking facilities are being developed at all stations.

Each bullet train station is being designed as more than just a transit point – they will be symbols of connectivity, sustainability and cultural pride. By blending world class amenities with local heritage, these hubs will redefine passenger experience in India.
