KPI Green Energy surged as much as 4% intraday after its parent company KP Group signed three strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Delta Electronics. The partnership covers three major focus areas: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Green Hydrogen and EV Charging Infrastructure, and Solar PV Inverters.
The MoUs were signed by Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, and Dr. Faruk Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group.
KP Group and Delta team up for next-gen battery infrastructure
The first MoU focuses on developing scalable Battery Energy Storage Systems. KP Group will handle project development and site integration, while Delta will supply critical components like inverters and energy management systems. Together, the companies aim to deliver storage projects across India and explore opportunities in global markets.
Delta’s solutions will include advanced grid support features, smart monitoring, and remote diagnostics. The company will also provide post-installation services, such as maintenance training and long-term operational support.
Collaboration for green hydrogen and EV charging infrastructure
The second MoU takes a futuristic step towards clean mobility. KP Group will set up green hydrogen production units powered by renewable energy. Delta will offer key technology, including hydrogen compression and EV charging systems.
The companies will jointly build hydrogen refueling and EV charging stations across India. Delta will supply both AC and DC fast chargers, and offer software platforms for real-time monitoring and billing.
Delta will also train KP Group’s staff to operate these stations safely and efficiently.
Delta to provide 1 GW of solar PV inverters to KP Group
As part of the third MoU, Delta will supply nearly 1 GW of solar PV inverters over the next year for KP Group’s upcoming solar projects. These inverters will support both standalone solar and hybrid (solar + storage) systems. They will feature high efficiency, remote diagnostics, and built-in grid support.
Delta will ensure smooth operations with after-sales services like preventive maintenance, spare parts support, and training. Both companies will also host joint workshops to keep KP Group aligned with Delta’s latest innovations.
KP Group will bring its expertise in renewable project execution, while Delta will contribute advanced technology and global experience. Together, they aim to accelerate India’s transition to a green and self-reliant energy future through innovations in battery storage, green hydrogen, EV charging, and solar power.
How will the partnership help boost clear energy prospects?
Highlighting the collaboration advantages, Niranjan Nayak, MD of Delta Electronics India, said, “Our collaboration with KP Group is a bold step to create a cleaner, smarter mobility ecosystem. With this 1 GW inverter partnership and extended collaboration on BESS and green hydrogen, we are committed to delivering best-in-class technology and lifecycle support.”
Dr. Faruk Patel, CMD of KP Group added that, “Our partnership is not just about products—it’s about co-creating solutions that empower India’s energy independence. Whether it is solar, storage, or hydrogen, we believe our combined strengths can build a cleaner, more sustainable tomorrow.”
