No time to visit a doctor for health checkup? Don’t worry! Now, while commuting from Delhi Metro, you can get your health check done! The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has set up kiosks, called ‘Pulse Active Stations Network’, at five interconnection metro stations for people to check some of their health parameters. The kiosks have been equipped with sensors that can detect around 18 parameters with predictive report of at least 12 diseases in just a couple of minutes, according to an HT report. An earlier version of this system has already been used in some of the government-run health centres.
According to a Delhi Metro spokesperson who was quoted in the report, people in cities such as the national capital have busy lifestyles. So, between work and day-to-day moving around, paying attention to health often takes a backseat. With these health kiosks being set up right at the Delhi Metro stations, people will not have to go anywhere else. Delhi Metro commuters while going to work or while coming back can simply stop at these kiosks and know if there is any deviation in their health parameters, the spokesperson said.
Also, a trained technician will be available near these health kiosks and will generate the results of the tests for the people. Interestingly, the maximum wait time for this will be just two to three minutes. For setting up these health kiosks at stations, the DMRC has given the contract to Quantificare Heath Stations Private Limited for a period of three years, the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, Delhi Metro has also introduced an online survey to its website. By taking the online survey, which is being conducted by the Railway and Transport Strategy Centre (RTSC), metro users can think about various aspects of metro operations and can give their suggestions or feedback to DMRC. With user suggestions, Delhi Metro eyes to improve its quality of service. The online survey is available from March 18, 2019, to April 14, 2019.
