In Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled development projects on Tuesday during his visit to the state. The projects are from sectors including railways, roads, transport and highways, oil and gas, and atomic energy. The total cost of these projects is Rs 19,600 crore.
In Paradip refinery, PM Modi inaugurated the mono ethylene glycol project of the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This will further assist in reducing import dependency in India.
The PM dedicated to the nation the 344-km-long product pipeline traversing from Paradip (Odisha) to Haldia (West Bengal).
At Paradip, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated a 0.6 MMTPA LPG import facility.
Also, PM Modi unveiled the four-laning of Binjabahal to Tileibani section of NH-49, Singhara to Binjabahal section of NH-49, Balasore-Jharpokharia section of NH-18 and Tangi-Bhubaneswar section of NH-16.
For the eight-laning of Chandikhole-Paradip road, PM Modi laid the foundation stone. Also, the PM dedicated to the nation the Bansapani-Daitari-Tomka-Jakhapura rail line (162 km).
At Odisha Sands Complex of Indian Rare Earths Ltd, PM Modi also inaugurated a 5-mld seawater desalination plant. It is developed by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
On February 3, PM Modi had last visited the state and unveiled projects worth over Rs 68,000 crore.
