Ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration on Monday, telecom operators have enhanced network connectivity in Ayodhya to ensure high-speed data transfers, uninterrupted voice calls and seamless video connectivity.

Besides deploying additional sites and base transceiver stations (BTS) to cover the Mandir and its adjoining areas, operators have improved their network infrastructure and covered important locations, including airport, railway station, bus stops and hotels.

In a press note on Sunday, Airtel said, “The company has deployed additional network sites, placed CoWs (cell on wheels) and laid optic fibre cable to cover the entire city (Ayodhya) with uninterrupted voice and data services.”

The telecom operator has also deputed additional manpower to ensure uninterrupted service. “Airtel’s network engineers have worked round the clock to cover the main site, locker room and Rajawar park site with high-speed data connectivity,” the company said.

Vodafone Idea, too, has upgraded its existing sites across important areas.

“Vi added new sites and upgraded/refarmed L2100 spectrum capacity across the nooks and corners of the city, including Ayodhya railway station, Ram Mandir campus, the airport, railway station and the connecting highways to Lucknow and Varanasi,” the operator said in a statement.

Lately, the Department of Telecommunications, along with local authorities, has ensured speedy approvals to telcos in deploying new sites and fibers.
