Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has posted a 36.8% jump in net profit to Rs 676.81 crore for the quarter ended March, compared to Rs 494.43 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
The company, however, posted lower total income at Rs 1858.88 crore against Rs 1938.41 crore. For the full year 2014-15, NLC posted a net profit of Rs 1579.68 crore compared to Rs 1,501.88 crore in the previous year, registering growth of 5.18%. Addressing a press conerence on Friday, B Surender Mohan, chairman-cum-managing director, NLC said the turnover was the highest in any year since inception.
