At the second India-Republic of Korea Cyber Dialogue focus of the discussions was on various matters pertaining to bilateral cyber cooperation including capacity building & training, standardization and cyber security.
The meeting took place in Seoul on May 28, 2024 where the Indian delegation was led by Amit A Shukla, Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, while the Korean delegation was led by Rhee Dong-Yeol, Ambassador for International Security Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of ROK.
Also, the two sides exchanged views on contemporary developments in the cyber domain, global challenges due to rapid evolution of technology. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) they also discussed ways to deepen cooperation at the United Nations and other multilateral and regional fora to build a safe and robust cyberspace.
The Indian delegation comprised of officials from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), and Embassy of India, Seoul.
The Korean delegation comprised of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of National Defence (MND), Ministry of Science & ICT (MSIT), Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, and the National Police Agency (NPA).
The third edition of the dialogue will be next year in New Delhi.
