Weekends are all about down time. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web-series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Yogesh Agarwal, founder and CEO, Onsurity, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
My escape from the hustle and bustle of business life involves hitting the open road. I enjoy taking my car on long drives and disconnecting from city life. I cherish picturesque landscapes and the soothing experience of being out in nature. Even in the city, I’m always accompanied by a good book, eager to explore new places to eat.
How do you spend your weekends?
I believe in engaging in introspection over the past week’s learnings and using my weekends as an opportunity for constant learning to build upon that foundation. I also value quality time with my family and indulging in reading. It’s this balance that keeps me refreshed and motivated.
What are your favourite gadgets?
Being a tech enthusiast comes to the forefront when discussing my favourite gadgets. My favourite gadget is my phone, but I like exploring new technological solutions. I’ve also set up my own servers in the past.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
Despite my love for exploring new interests, I am very resolute about my career choices. I would not trade my career for anything. I would still want to be an appointed actuary. If possible, I would like to complement my actuarial expertise with an additional degree in data science.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
My favourite vacation destination is Dubai because I’m truly inspired by witnessing how something can be constructed from the ground up to a grand scale. Another favorite place of mine is Munnar in Kerala, shrouded in clouds and surrounded by nature, offering a serene escape from the urban jungle.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching?
My recommendation for a TV show is The Good Doctor. I appreciate the way it goes beyond the obvious, blending theory and application to find unique solutions, a quality I value in both my personal and professional life.
I highly recommend the Hindi classic, “Ek Ruka Hua Faisla.” The film exemplifies deep thinking and challenges biased mindsets, effectively showcasing the transformative power of critical thinking.
The latest Humara Bajaj advertisement is impressively crafted, seamlessly integrating the brand’s foundational principles with a modern touch. The remake of the ad effectively resonates with the contemporary audience, showcasing the company’s ability to adapt while staying true to its core values.
