Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Vedant Hamirwasia, director, ODA Class, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I like to read. I am an avid reader and have a collection of more than 150 books. I also like to swim and play cricket when not working.
How do you spend your weekends?
We only have Sundays off; Saturday is a normal working day for us. I make it a point to play a sport, be it cricket or go for a swim for two hours on Sunday. Apart from that, I spend a couple of hours learning Mandarin and catching up with old friends.
What are your favorite gadgets?
I am not a very gadget-oriented person. My iPhone and my Apple watch are 2 gadgets I cannot do without, I easily get all updates on it.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
I have always been a people person rather than a machine person. I love interacting with different people, knowing their problems, and finding a way to solve them. If not in the education field, I would have been a journalist.
Which is your favorite vacation spot?
I have traveled mostly in India and Asia. Ladakh, Goa, and Phuket are 3 places I like to go when in vacay mode.
