Due to a technical issue, an IndiGo plane from Abu Dhabi to New Delhi was diverted to Muscat on Monday. The plane will be back in operation after necessary maintenance, the company said in a statement.
Details about the number of passengers could not be immediately ascertained. Due to a technical issue, IndiGo flight 6E 1406 operating from Abu Dhabi to Delhi, was diverted to Muscat, the statement said.
Customers have been offered hotel accommodation in Muscat, IndiGo added.
As per the flight tracking website Flightradar24, an A320neo plane was operating the flight.
IndiGo regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers. Alternative arrangements are being made to facilitate their journey to the national capital of the country, the airline said.
