Budget airlines, Spicejet, will introduce air services from Chennai to Port Blair and to Pune from October five, a top airlines official said.
It would also start operating to Coimbatore from Chennai from October 25, Executive Chairman Siddhanta Sharma told a press conference.
The airlines would also be opening its new base station at Chennai from November and two Boeing 737-800 aircraft would be stationed at the airport, he said.
The airlines would also be starting a series of daily flights from Coimbatore to Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad soon, he said.
