The management churn at Wipro Technologies, the country?s third-largest IT services exporter, continues with its global banking head Sriram Srinivasan going on a ?sabbatical? and Rajan Kohli, the current chief marketing officer, taking over this role, sources said.
The reason for Srinivasan?s sabbatical is not known, but it appears to be part of management changes. It is learned that Srinivasan is keen to pursue certain ?social causes?. Srinivasan was part of the BFSI team at Wipro Technologies reporting into Soumitro Ghosh, who is the overall incharge of this vertical.
Kohli has been with Wipro for over 15 years serving in various sales and business leadership roles. Prior to this, Kohli was head (US sales) for Wipro?s BFSI vertical and the business technology service line.
Ever since TK Kurien took over as CEO of IT business of Wipro in January, 2011, the company has witnessed large scale revamp and restructuring. This has largely to do with dismantling the multiple reporting structures, which Wipro Technologies was operating under.
