Ok Play India limited leading plastic moulding company would shortly set up manufacturing units at Bewal in Haryana and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

Managing director of the company, Rajan Handa told FE on Monday that the company has been allotted 15 acres of land at Bewal by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and the unit would be commissioned by year 2009. Next in line would be the unit at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh for which the company has identified land and the total project cost had been pegged at Rs 70 crore.

However, Handa, said he was particularly upbeat about Haryana as the company had been awarded Rs 32 -crore -order by the state government only this week for the supply of 300,000 plastic water tanks for drinking water supply scheme launched by the state government. He said that the entire supplies would be made by March 2009 and the plant at Mewat in Haryana was ready to meet the order requirements.

Handa said OK Play India limited, previously known as Aquapure Containers was established in 1989 to manufacture plastic water storage tanks. It was renamed as OK Play India limited after acquiring a UK based toy company – OK Play in 1992.

He claimed that OK Play known for its innovative products was one of the few moulders in the country that had capabilities for all types of plastic moulding – rotational moulding, blow moulding and injection moulding. It is recognised as leaders in rotational moulding by the industry.
