Leading financial intermediary Narnolia Securities Ltd (NSL), which is associated with Motilal Oswal exclusively for Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal, on Wednesday launched Narnolia Knowledge Capital (NKC) in Ranchi. It will impart practical education in the field of investment to interested school and college students and to those who aspire to become professionals.
NSL on Wednesday also launched Narnolia Premier Club (NPC), an exclusive club for select NSL investors who fulfil certain criteria in terms of investment amount, objectives and habit traits. At NPC, members including individual investors, financial institutions and corporates will get differential advisory services “on a one-to-one basis” from a dedicated NSL team. Such services, which aim to “help clients protect and create wealth”, include financial products such as financial planning, risk-free arbitrage fund, corporate benchmarking, treasury and strategic management.
Speaking on the occasion of the twin launch, NSL chairman-cum-managing director Krishna N Narnolia said while people have learnt what to spend on thanks to information aired by electronics media and easy availability of finance, the same is not true so far as investment is concerned. Very few people have clear ideas about where and how to invest.
“Narnolia Knowledge Capital will fill in the gap by imparting detailed knowledge about the capital market and the overall economy to the common man including students at schools, colleges and other professional institutes,” Narnolia said.
The courses, both basic and advanced, will educate people on various aspects of financial markets including money, bond, commodities & stock markets, financial planning, theory & practice of both technical and fundamental analysis, etc.
The duration of courses varies between seven days and three months. Course fees, which vary between Rs 1,000 and Rs 20,000, have been structured to suit people from different backgrounds. Special emphasis has been given on practical learning and the batch size for each of the courses has been restricted to around 25.
NSL is currently in talks with a leading Indian institution that is authorized to issue chartered financial planner (CFP) certificates to successful candidates at the end of their courses. The certificates will also help them get jobs.
Noted analyst Sanjay K Sinha will discuss live the working of the wave and analyse other technical aspects. “The importance of the analysis lies in the fact that more than 90% of today’s turnover is speculative and investors are incurring huge losses as they cannot differentiate between speculation and gambling,” Narnolia said.
