Featuring social networking and entertainment options, Nokia X2-01 is the latest phone in the popular X series featuring a prominent QWERTY keypad with clearly distinguishable keys with big characters.
Nokia X2-01 is available in five colours. We got the black one. It had a matte back panel and a glossy front. Overall, it looks nice and slim and feels compact in hand. A 2.4-inch colour display and a full QWERTY keypad graces the front panel. On the back side you have a VGA camera, a speaker and a lid sheltering a 1050mAh battery and a SIM slot. On the left panel of X2-01 lies a microSD card slot along with a micro USB port. A 3.5 mm audio port alongside a charging slot is placed on the top. The D-pad has standard soft keys and a big confirmation key with a metal cursor around it. On either sides of the cursor, you have a dedicated key for music player and message.
Nokia X2-01 has a 2.4-inch colourful display with prominent bright icons and a fast interface. It displays three slides giving instant access to your favourite contacts, communities, mail, radio, shortcut bar and Web search. In case you want to keep your display clean of the slides, you can click ?Go To? button and select Home screen. Display is followed by a full QWERTY keypad for perfect typing and chatting purpose. Keys are curved and look good, and are well demarcated from one another. Typing is fun once you get used to the keys, which at the outset may appear odd due to its curved structure.
Nokia X2-01 is basically a chatting phone, and so doesn?t feel obliged to have a high camera. Yet, its VGA camera is decent and far better than 2 MP cameras in most of the phones. Video recording is very ordinary and not worth mentioning. X2-01 can also pass as a music phone with its robust and clear surround sound speaker. Basic functions like making a call is also good, with crystal clear in-call sound quality. Other attributes of X2-01 include FM with scheduled recording, video player, audio player, voice recorder along with Bluetooth, Facebook, Twitter, Opera Mini browser, Nokia OVI, Java, etc. Its memory can be extended up to 16 GB with micro SD card and has a battery life of 3-4 hours on regular use.
For, 4.5k you have a lot of QWERTY phones with a nice display and speaker. Some even cost lesser, like the Bling QPad at 3.3k. Fly B450 and Bling QPad have almost everything X2-01 offers. Both of them even feature optical trackpad and more battery life than X2-01, which has got the brand name, looks and performance.
