Power transmission company KEC International said it has bagged orders aggregating to Rs 470 crore from Middle East and Africa to design, engineer and supply power distribution equipment.

The company has bagged orders from clients in Saudi Arabia and Chad for construction and supply of power distribution equipment, KEC International said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company has bagged the first order worth Rs 300 crore from Saudi Electricity Company for the construction of a power transmission line in Riyadh, the filing said.

The company has bagged another order worth Rs 100 crore from Ministry of Water & Electricity, Saudi Arabia for construction of a transmission line, the filing added.

Further, the company has bagged an order worth Rs 70 crore from Chad, Africa to supply power distribution equipment, the filing said.

Shares of KEC International were today trading at Rs 594 on the BSE, up 1.03 per cent from previous close.
