In connection with its Technocity project, Technopark in Kerala is in parleys with Japanese External Trade Organisation (JETRO) on co-operating on embedded software-related industries. The 14-member JETRO business delegation was from Fukoka city in Japan, better known as `Sillicon Island’.
“The embedded software vertical is the high value, future growth area in the IT arena and that the 200 odd companies in Fukoka were keen on partnering Technopark in tis expansion plans in this area,” JETRO officials said, at a function in Technopark. The team was headed by Masamitsu Watanabe, the chief executive of the Economic Promotion Bureau of the Fukuoka city government, a release here has said.
It was recently that an Italian and Chinese team of CEOs took a look at the facilities in Technopark. Although the space-starved IT park is not short of potential clientele for its upcoming plans of the Rs 1000-crore Technocity, the state government is keen on giving its IT development a multi-cultural ambience.
