Alongside the public issue that the Central Bank of India has launched, it also has plans to realign its product mix. The bank that is into three areas namely corporate, retail and agriculture, aims to come out with more products to cater to all the segments.
According to an official of the bank, ?The bank plans to introduce two schemes in less than a month, one in reverse mortgage and the second, a Cent Udan scheme that aims to provide assistance to boys and girls looking to pursue a pilot?s career.? He added, ?The bank is also looking to phase out schemes that are not performing well such as the Cent computer scheme.?
According to the chairperson and managing director HA Daruwalla, ?The bank already offers 23 products on the retail side. We do plan to come out with more products.?
With respect to two of the bank?s schemes, the Cent mart and the Cent super, she said that they were re-introduced in the market after having removed them earlier this year.
