Phoenix, Arizona based Best Western International?s Indian arm- Best Western India is planning to expand its footprint in India with 30 new properties in the pipeline over the next two-three years. Out of these 15 hotels would be located in North and rest in other regions. The international hotel chain, which is managed in India by Cabana Hotel Management, runs about 22 hotels in 18 cities across the country including a recently launched property in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The company plans to add 10,000 rooms in about 140 cities into its kitty over the next 10 years. The hotel chain has presence in 80 countries mainly in America, Europe and Asia.
Talking to FE in Baddi , Sudhir Sinha, president and chief operating officer, Best Western India said, ?The demand is picking up in the mid-market hotel segment in India with an average growth rate of 30-40% annually. The hotel chain has over 4,000 independently owned and operated hotels worldwide and we are focusing on Asian and European markets for further expansion.?
