Indian Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has introduced several reforms to modernize the country’s freight system. These include container-based transportation for fly ash, simplified rules for container train operators, and a flexible system for fertiliser movement. A skilled certification framework for railway workers and stricter rules for contractors are also part of the reforms.
