Axar Patel is an all-rounder, one of India’s very promising ones, who bowls left-arm orthodox spin and bats lower down the order. He made his international debut in ODIs in the year 2014. Patel soon became a reliable and impressive bowler with accuracy and the ability to bowl economically well in ODIs. The turned for Axar at the time of the Test series against England in January and February 2021, when, in only his third game, he managed to collect a whopping 27 wickets, proving his worth on turning tracks.
Axar has been a perennial contributor to the Indian side in limited-overs cricket, not only as a bowler but also with the bat at crunch moments of the game. His excellent bowling during the middle overs made him a great export product off the Indian team by creating a destructive attack through excellent over-containment.
Axar Patel started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians, and after a long and successful journey, it’s with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). He is currently donning the Delhi Capitals jersey as skipper. His calmness and other skills make him an important player in international cricket and IPL.
