Coimbatore: Public sector insurance giant LIC is coming out with a special service scheme for its elite customers paying more than Rs.25,000 as premium per annum.
To become a +Gold Club Member,+ to be introduced shortly, one has to hold at least five LIC policies for a minimum of seven years, without any lapse in premium payment, Senior Divisional Manager K G Somasundaram said in Coimbatore.
He said the corporation had recently introduced a scheme under which top performing development officers would be elevated as Senior Business Associate (SBA).
The facilities available in SBA offices included payment of premiums and deposits for new policies and also renewals.
Income tax certificates for premiums paid, loan quotations, policy revival quotations, status reports can also be availed at SBA offices for any of the policy taken throughout India, he said.
Pepin Esaw, one of the top ranked Development Officers would be the first SBA in Coimbatore, he said.
Coimbatore Division has set a target of 4,92,000 policies with a first premium income of Rs.550 crore for 2009-10 and at the end of first quarter, it has achieved 64,500 policies with a premium income of Rs.57.92 crore, a growth of more than 25 per cent on policies and 2.57 per cent on premium income over the previous year, Somasundaram said.
